Global diaspora theologian, Korea/USA

Dr Miyon Chung was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the USA in the late 1970s. She has worked on the Diaspora Track of the Lausanne Consultation on World Evangelism and taught at Torch Trinity Graduate University in Korea and Morling College in Australia, where she currently works. Miyon is a fourth-generation Christian, her great grandparents having accepted Christ out of their strict Confucian backgrounds. She regularly travels to teach in churches and seminaries in countries as varied as D R Congo, India, Kenya, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Rwanda, Uganda, the USA and undisclosed Asian countries.
